Free face blur, on your device

Blur faces in photos, automatically

Drop a photo and every face is found and blurred in your browser, even in crowds. Fix anything the detector missed by dragging a box, choose blur, pixelate, or a black box, and download a copy that also has its location and camera metadata stripped.

Drop a photo to blur

JPG, PNG, WebP, or HEIC. The photo stays on your device.

Face blur, manual boxes, and downloads are free. Optional Smart Detect (AI) also finds license plates and personal text for 1 credit.

How it works

  1. 1

    Drop a photo

JPG, PNG, WebP, or HEIC. It is opened in your browser, not uploaded.

  2. 2

    Faces are blurred automatically

An on-device face detector finds faces, including small ones in group shots and crowds. Click a box to keep a face visible.

  3. 3

    Check, adjust, download

Drag to blur anything else, switch the style, and download. EXIF, GPS, and camera details are removed from the copy too.

Why use this one

No upload for face blur

Detection and blurring run on your device, so photos of kids, clients, or bystanders never reach a server.

One step to safe sharing

Other blur tools leave the GPS location in the file. Your download has faces hidden and location metadata removed.

Irreversible

Blur and pixelate are applied to the pixels and the original data is discarded, so they cannot be undone from the shared file.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is my photo uploaded?

No. Face detection and blurring run in your browser. Only the optional Smart Detect sends a small preview to an AI provider, and only when you click it.

Will it find every face?

It finds most faces, including small ones in crowds, but side profiles, faces under hats, or very blurry faces can be missed. Always look over the result and drag a box over anything that was missed.

Can blurred faces be un-blurred?

No. The download contains only the blurred pixels. For maximum safety on sensitive images, use the black box style.

Does it remove GPS location too?

Yes. The downloaded image is re-encoded without EXIF, GPS, camera, or XMP metadata.
