Use of the tool
You are responsible for the files you choose to process and for confirming that the cleaned or edited output is suitable for your intended use.
You may not use the service to violate laws, hide unlawful activity, infringe rights, or process files you do not have permission to handle.
No forensic guarantee
The product removes or edits common metadata fields where feasible in the browser. It is not a forensic sanitization, legal redaction, compliance certification, or professional security review tool.
Some files may contain visible private content, embedded objects, comments, annotations, tracked changes, hidden sheets, speaker notes, or format-specific data that V1 does not remove.
Availability and browser limits
Processing depends on browser APIs, available memory, CPU performance, and file format support. Large videos and damaged or encrypted files may fail.
Batch cleaning, video processing, and metadata editing can use more browser resources. Premium includes access to batch workflows, but it does not guarantee unlimited browser memory, background processing, support for every file variant, or that edited metadata appears identically in every downstream app.
Accounts
Accounts may be used for Premium access, batch cleaning, billing, and abuse prevention. You are responsible for keeping account credentials secure.
Account access does not create a file storage service. Metadata Remover does not provide file history, file backup, or recovery for files you process locally.
Free single-file tools
Single-file metadata removal and metadata editing may be available without sign-in. Files are still processed locally in your browser.
Free access may change as the product evolves, but account access does not turn Metadata Remover into a file storage, backup, or recovery service.
Premium and payments
Premium Early Access is a one-time purchase that provides 6 months of Premium access from successful payment verification. It is not a subscription and does not renew automatically.
Premium unlocks batch metadata removal across all supported formats and future advanced privacy workflows during the active access period, subject to browser limits, fair use, abuse prevention, and reasonable product changes.
Refunds and disputes
Refund requests are reviewed through support@metadataremove.app. If a refund, chargeback, or payment reversal is issued, Premium access may be removed or marked as expired.
Payment availability, taxes, currency display, and card processing may depend on the third-party payment processor and your payment method.
Fair use and abuse
You may not use automation, scraping, credential sharing, excessive parallel processing, or other abuse patterns to bypass product limits or degrade the service.
We may limit, suspend, or terminate access if an account is used for abuse, unlawful activity, payment fraud, security risk, or behavior that materially harms the product or other users.
Changes to the product
We may improve, add, remove, pause, or change features as the product evolves. For paid access, we aim to preserve the core Premium value during the active access period or provide a reasonable support path if a material paid feature becomes unavailable.
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use after an update means you accept the updated Terms.
Disclaimers and liability
The product is provided on an as-is and as-available basis. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Metadata Remover disclaims warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and uninterrupted or error-free operation.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Metadata Remover is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, loss of profits, loss of data, or damage caused by your use of cleaned or original files.
